Whether it is in the office or on the field, we will examine and demonstrate the tools you need to increase your chances of becoming a successful sports chiropractor and then how to stay there. I will discuss steps to maintain a position in sports medicine by avoiding common pitfalls and mistakes when treating athletes. "Biomechanics"
Presented by Dr. Mark Charrette
In the first hour of this course, Dr. Charrette will introduce and go over basic terminology such as, basic biomechanics of the spine, lower extremity developmental patterns, and lower extremity biomechanics. After that he will look at joint dysfunction, examination procedures, stabilization procedures and common spinal patterns. He will then move on to common lower extremity biomechanical patterns before finishing by showing some useful adjustments.

“Chiropractic Billing in Medicare Land”
Provides an introduction to Medicare billing for chiropractic practices, including basic billing requirements, coverage guidelines, and documentation essentials. Participants will also learn the fundamentals of coordination of benefits and how to accurately profile patients with multiple insurance plans to reduce claim errors and improve reimbursement.

This course will review a variety of diagnostic imaging cases from various chiropractors. Various imaging modalities such as plain radiography, MRI, CT and cone beam CT will be reviewed, and a range of body regions but focusing on the spine and musculoskeletal system will be presented. This course covers all aspects of Acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in reference to commonly seen orthopedic disorders. History, philosophy, and time-honored concepts will be taught concerning methods of diagnosis and treatment. Traditional and modern treatment methods such as, Acupuncture Point Formulas, “Circling the Dragon”, Auriculotherapy, Gua Sha , Electrical and Laser Stimulation, joint manipulation (Tunia) and Herbal Prescriptions will be demonstrated for each disorder. Demonstration of these treatment protocols as well as discussion on how to integrate them into a clinical setting will be presented.
